Anton

A multimedia exhibition

Master’s students at Salzburg University of Applied Sciences present a special multi-media exhibition with selected artworks from the Salzburg Residenzgalerie. Analogue and digital installations offer unusual perspectives on the Baroque paintings, thus creating a new level of art education. The exhibition ANTON explores the possibilities and limits of the latest technology in combination with “classic” formats. The central theme is the life-story of Anton, inspired by a true story from the Baroque period. In each of the four exhibition rooms, the life of the protagonist takes a decisive turn; the viewer participates interactively, motivated by elements that enhance the active experience of art, creating a link between the 17th and the 21st centuries.

The design consists of a work of the Residenzgalerie Salzburg, which visualizes the temporal framework, and the illustration, which shows Anton’s live. The subject connects the old works with a new illustration technology or rather a modern interpretation of Baroque elements.
